About historical Crowley
Crowley is a beautiful city in Tarrant County, but only a small portion of the land extends into Johnson County. Crowley is a home to 14,572 residents who lead peaceful lives in this Fort Worth suburb. The city is one of the oldest in the area and pioneers began farming the territory around Deer Creek in 1848, but they moved a mile or so west where the Crowley sits today. It was incorporated in 1951, while its status from a town to a city shifted in 1972.
The city is served by the Crowley Independent School District which extends into Fort Worth and includes 22 public schools. Some of the most famous schools here are within the Fort Worth city limits and these are North Crowley High School, Crowley Middle School and Sue Crouch Intermediate School.
A little bit of statistics
There are about 75% of Caucasians living in Crowley, while they are followed by 15% of people with Hispanic/Latino origins. Furthermore, the city is great for families because there are more than 50 % of married couples that live together, plus there are a lot of households with children under the age of 18. However, you will not see a lot of people aged 18 to 24, only about 8.6% live here, and people who are 65 or older – there are only 8.3% of seniors.
Things to do in Crowley
Interestingly enough, the computer game Dark Seed II is set in Crowley, but there is no resemblance to the actual city. Still, it is an entertaining thing to know. The most beautiful parks in the city are Bicentennial Park, Teeter Park and Dionne Bagsby -All Sports Complex. The life in Crowley is quiet, but we would like to say that Benbrook Lake is located nearby. You can always visit the lake with your family and relax here, but if you are a fishing aficionado, you can access the lake easily from Crowley.
